Decide on a Theme

You need to decide on a theme for the memorial
service. The theme can encompass things that the
deceased will be remembered for, whether it is his or
her devotion to family, love for music, dedication to
charity, and so on.
To create a theme, you need to personalize the
decorations and the choice of music. For instance, you
can use floral arrangements with the deceased
individual’s favorite flowers or colors and select a
playlist of favorite songs to be played during the
service.
A playlist of favorite songs of the deceased can be
played while guests find their seats, and also after the
service as people leave. If the deceased loved to travel,
flowers from regions, such as the tropics, could be used
to reflect that love.
You can also have a table of mementos that reflect the
personal life of the deceased. This could include awards
for work, sports or community service, photographs,
favorite books, sports jerseys, items related to work,
hobbies, and writings or creations of your loved one.
