Date and Time of the Memorial Service
You must set the date and time of the memorial service
to allow family members and friends enough time to
make travel plans and the necessary adjustments in
their calendars.
While you don’t have to feel pressured to hold the
service right after the cremation, it’s important to set
the date close enough to the cremation so that visiting
friends and family can attend if they choose.
Alternatively, you can hold a virtual memorial service
from afar, especially during these times where there is
a stay-at-home order due to COVID-19. A virtual or
online memorial service will connect family and friends
to honor the passing of their loved one.
This is a wonderful idea for family members and
friends who live at a distance and cannot attend the
service in person. We talk about the various ways to
hold an online memorial service in the ebook found here
